How to Get CEU's from Atomic Learning?

You can receive credit for any tutorials viewed in Atomic Learning that add up to 10 hours or more.
  • Complete desired tutorials between June 1 - April 30 to receive credit for the current school year.
  • Do not print certificates from Atomic Learning, an Atomic Learning usage report will automatically be uploaded to MyTalent and converter to 1 CEU credit for each set of 10 hours completed

How to Check your Hours
  • Log into Atomic Learning.
  • Select My Reports from the menu on the top of the screen.
  • Enter a start and end date range and select Update Date Range.
  • Click on the + sign beside Recent Activity to expand the list of tutorials completed.

21st Century Skills Assessment

Are you a digital age teacher?  Are your students engaged in collaborative and innovative learning experiences?  Would you like increase your knowledge of 21st century skills and how to infuse them into instruction?  CMS Technology Services would like you to take the Atomic Learning 21st Century skills assessment for personal growth and a better understanding of what it means to infuse 21st Century skills into instruction. 

Atomic Learning’s 40 question, ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards-based assessment focuses on how  to use and apply technology, help teachers gauge technology skill levels and help teachers develop customized learning paths to be better equipped to promote a 21st century learning environment.

Goal 1 of the CMS Strategic Plan calls for teachers to help students maximize academic achievement in a 21st century learning environment.  Goal 6 of the CMS Strategic Plan calls for teachers to inspire and nurture learning, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship through technology.  By completing this assessment you are taking a step to demonstrate your commitment to the goals of the district and ultimately helping students achieve the success to be college and career ready.

The Atomic Learning Assessment for WMHS is to be completed by October 2, 2014.  You will be receiving a Calendar Invitation from Ms. Wise to complete this assessment in a computer lab at school.  This assessment is for your personal/professional growth and the results can/should be used as part of your PDP.  The results will also help Ms. Wise develop specific PD to help teachers reach their goals and the school reach goals from the CMS Strategic Plan.  Teacher’s individual results will NOT be shared with administration and will NOT be used against you on any evaluation.  Administration will only get a copy of the school average for each section.

The assessment will take approximately 30-45min to complete.  

The following people should take the assessment:
  • ALL Certified teachers (core and elective)
  • EC, ESL, ASEP, ROTC and EC Assistants
  • Admin and ALL Facilitators

* Front office staff is OPTIONAL, but encouraged!

Where to find the 21st Century Skills Assessment in Atomic Learning:
  • Open Google Chrome
  • Login to Atomic Learning
  • Click on the "My Training" Tab
  • Click on "Assessments"
  • Click on "21Century Skills Asessment_West Meck
    When you finish the assessment, you will immediately receive your scores on the screen.
    Enter your scores into this Secure Google Form


Next Steps to Utilizing Atomic Learning for Professional Development

Atomic Learning will automatically assign you tutorials to watch based on your scores from the assessment.  Any section in which your score is below 70% will have videos assigned for your review.  

To find the prescribed trainings:
  • Login to Atomic Learning
  • Click on "My Training" Tab
  • Click on "Assigned Training"
  • Click on "Prescribed Training - Assessment 2014
  • Watch videos at your leisure


After you have finished your prescribed trainings, use the search tab to explore other technology concepts you would like to learn more about.
